Tom Wilkie unveiled some of the algorithms and implementation details behind Castle, Acunu's new storage engine, at the OSCON conference.

What is Castle?

Castle (an open-source project) is a key-value store which unifies the RAID layer, caching and metadata layers with exciting new algorithms, to deliver significant performance and predictability improvements. Castle is also the core of the Acunu Data Platform, which delivers up to 100x higher performance for applications written for Cassandra and other tools.
