Acunu Analytics: real-time Big Data without the heavy lifting
|
Acunu Analytics, powered by Apache Cassandra - the industry leading NoSQL database, enables you to quickly and simply build real-time monitoring and analytic applications. Acunu Analytics provides instant answers to rich queries on any stream of events, such as log data, financial market data, call detail records, ad impressions or clicks.
Acunu Analytics allows you to:
How does it work?
Acunu Analytics incrementally maintains roll-up cubes on data as it is ingested. It reflects fresh data immediately in queries on the cubes, queries that are close to instantaneous because they typically only retrieve pre-calculated results. And because the work is done at ingest time, query times do not increase as the accumulated data volume rises.
Unlike Complex Event Processing (CEP) and real-time BI tools, Acunu Analytics can be scaled out across many nodes and stores all of its results. You are not limited by the capacity of a single machine or the amount of RAM available in your cluster. You can tackle high velocity, high volume data sets and do analysis that combines both historical and up-to-the-second data. Acunu Analytics on Apache Cassandra is an operational data store. Unlike Hadoop, it delivers real-time answers, with high availability and low latency. It can be used in conjunction with Hadoop or other data warehouses to support ad hoc analytics and general-purpose batch analytics. Storm, MQ and other event frameworks fit well with Acunu Analytics, which also is also integrated with Apache Flume. You can use these technologies to deliver streaming data to Acunu Analytics. |

Acunu Analytics provides a set of aggregation functions, including counting events, summing over the value of an event field, as well as associate average and variance operations. Acunu Analytics supports both count distinct and top-k functions to show unique visitors, trending topics, slowest nodes or most valuable customers.
|
When an approximate answer is acceptable, Acunu Analytics offers variants of count distinct and top-k that allow you to choose an adjustable level of accuracy in exchange for dramatically improved performance.
|
Acunu Analytics supports GROUP BY operators to divide events across the values in a field. It supports automatic bucketing for time fields and hierarchical grouping to support URLs, paths and geo-spatial queries.
